Wonderful Day Off

Posted by

Stacheman and his girlfriend in Carson Washington hiking the mountains over the Gorge. Waterfalls abound with spectacular views ๐ŸŒฒ on both sides of the river. We were leisurely in our quaint Cabin with a fireplace and tried to catch up on reading and correspondence (thanks for all your well wishes and CAF support!).

Late in the afternoon we went to this old hot springs hotel, what an experience! They had an old fashioned bathhouse ( thankfully no pictures!)  with a hot (118 degrees) sulfur water, you sit in these old bathtubs  ๐Ÿ› while water runs for 30 min and every so often you  jump into the next tub with cold water (51 degrees!) . Wow, it was great on the muscles not so great on….well๐Ÿ˜ฌ! As you can see this very old place and the bath house opened in the late 1800’s and they haven’t changed it since…..part of the adventure!!

Muscles are ready for long day …,.cool and rainy with quite a few climbs!! I will be wishing I was still in that hot sulfur bath. Onward to Maryhill (where the winery is ๐Ÿท) and back into the “Tin Can ” tonight! Cheers ๐Ÿ˜‰
